Frequent questions
- What is an online panel?
An online panel is built from a group of registered internet users, who have agreed to participate regularly in market research. The results of the surveys are used by companies to improve the services offered and to respond better to the needs of the consumers.
Everyone is free to register in Sense Panels (the Panel). A panel member must be aware of the Operating Regulations and comply to it.
- Can I have multiple accounts?
You can only have one member account and one account per household. If we notice that you have used multiple email addresses (for example, using false names) or that multiple household members are registered, your Sense Panels Research Panel membership will be canceled for both you and the other household members.

- Where can I find online surveys?
Each time a new questionnaire is available you will receive an invitation by e-mail to complete it. For this, we need a personal, valid e-mail address, which you should check periodically, and through which we can contact you.
Also, the questionnaires are available in your account page.
- How often will I be invited to participate in the surveys?
We cannot say precisely how many surveys will be conducted each month.
To increase your chance of being invited to as many questionnaires as possible, we recommend that you complete the detailed profile on your account management page and periodically check the email address used when registering in the Panel.
- How long does it take to complete a survey?
The time you should complete the questionnaire may vary from one survey to another. In each participation invitation we will indicate an average time to complete the questionnaire. It is then up to you whether or not you agree to participate in the study.
It is possible that from time to time a certain quota will be reached (for example, when enough members of a certain age have taken part in the survey). In this case you will receive a message that you cannot be allowed to participate in the respective research.
- What if I want to stop a survey and I want to continue it later?
It is not recommended that after you start completing a survey, you stop. If this happens, most of the times, the questionnaire can be resumed from where you left off. Attention, however, this situation is not always valid, which is why we recommend completing it fully.
IMPORTANT: You will only be rewarded if you have completed the entire survey.
Also, each questionnaire is available to be completed for a certain number of days. If those days are over, you can no longer complete the questionnaire.
- What means if I don’t belong to the target group or that the quotas have been closed?
When you do not belong to the target group the questionnaire ends, and you can no longer complete it. The reasons relate to the criteria required by a certain research. For example, if it is a beer survey, one of the criteria imposed by the research may be that the respondents have been drinking beer in the last week.
For data analysis and for scientific reasons, it is very important that the target groups and quotas are respected in order to obtain the most accurate and reliable results.
Each survey is carried out on a limited number of respondents (quota). To obtain quality data, we must observe a fixed number of interviews for each characteristic (for instance, a pre-determined number of women, men, etc.). When quotas are achieved, the questionnaire can no longer be accessed and you shall receive a message re-directing you outside the questionnaire, after the first answers, in order not to waste your time.
